Keeping in mind the aptitude of youth with Intellectual Developmental Disorder and their natural skills set, Nithya Saadhana introduced the training in Hospitality in 2022. In the span that this course has been introduced, the youth have shown interest in the course, and enjoy the various activities associated with basic hospitality. The training on Functional and Social Areas, and Overall Development is an integral part of the course in Hospitality.

The comprehensive course finely balances different techniques of food preparation with details related to measurement, cutting, cleanliness, and kitchen counter hygiene. The course starts with the basics of cataloging kitchen utensils, and progresses to understanding the nutritional value of different ingredients in the food chain, and various cooking methods such as baking and steaming.

The segment on baking covers dishes that are popular in hotels and restaurants. In addition, the course details quality checks, purchase of food, food preservation, food safety, food packing, and labelling.

Service Training

Food and Beverage Services can be broadly defined as the process of preparing, presenting and serving of food and beverages to the customers.

Service may be for catering, in Quick Service Restaurants or in Full Service Restaurants.

Nithya Saadhana trains candidates to be equipped in these types of service options.
